Dr. Jamal Fathollahi, President of Razi University, attended and delivered a speech at the International Conference on Food Quality and Food Security at RUDN University, Russia, from September 23rd to 25th, as part of the BRICS universities’ participation.

The 5th International Conference on "Food Quality, Food Safety" was held at the National Center in Moscow, Russia. This conference was organized by RUDN University, the Russian Agricultural Bank, X5 Group, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, and the V.M. Gorbatov Federal Food Systems Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It served as a platform for international discussions on global food security and Russia’s leadership role in multilateral, mutually beneficial cooperation.

 

The conference included participants from 35 countries, including BRICS member countries.

Throughout the event, special attention was given to developing scientific and practical communication systems, education, and the transfer of advanced national progress to BRICS countries, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Asia-Pacific region, and Africa.

The conference featured a public discussion as well as scientific sessions and roundtables on promising areas of collaboration and issues concerning food quality and safety. Additionally, key sessions were held on the following topics:

• "Russia – BRICS: Innovative Approaches to Food Security"
• "Russia – Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Cooperation for Sustainable Development"

"Russia – Africa: Strategies for Ensuring Food Security"

 

This event saw the participation of representatives from over 35 countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Iran, Gambia, Ghana, Zambia, and Uzbekistan. Experts, senior specialists from Russia and abroad, representatives from educational organizations, ministries, relevant agencies, interested commercial structures, public organizations, as well as scientists and young specialists attended.
